La Manga means "The Sleeve" and it is over 28km long and stretches
from the fishing village of Cabo de Palos to the salt flats of San Pedro Del Pinatar. On one side you will find the Mediterranean Sea with its magnificent sandy beaches and on the other side you will find the beautiful Mar Menor
(little sea) the largest salt-water lagoon in Europe also considered to be the worlds largest swimming pool, which is safe for all forms of water sport; it is
non-tidal, crystal clear, and shallow never reaching more than 7 metres
in depth and with average water temperature of 23 degrees.

Dotted up and down the Costa Calida you can find various sailing centre's
and schools that will be more than happy to rent you the sailing equipment
that you need or give you basic, intermediate or advanced lessons in windsurfing, water skiing, sailing , canoeing , jet ski or under water diving.
